The Ursule Suspension by Enamoura is patiently wheel-thrown by skilled hands in a pottery workshop rooted in ancestral craftsmanship, in the region of Aubagne in the south of France — a historic centre of ceramic tradition.
After shaping, Ursule is left to dry “à la sèche” under the sun, then carefully trimmed (tournassée) before being fired in the kiln. This slow, intentional process allows the grain of the clay surface to retain the trace of the maker’s gesture, giving each lamp its unique character.
The form is timeless and understated, diffusing a soft, delicate light with an almost weightless presence. Lisette is ideal as ambient lighting:
– as bedside reading lights on either side of the bed
– in a bathroom
– or above a small table or niche
It can also be paired with Lisette and other Ursule pendants in mixed clay, creating a distinctive and poetic light cluster.
Ursule integrates beautifully into both raw, minimal interiors and more sophisticated settings, where it brings a distinctly Mediterranean sense of warmth and languor.
This version is crafted in terracotta red and finished with a porcelain ceiling rose.
Ursule is also available in white clay.
