Discover M Nuance — Mirrors Filled with Poetry and Craftsmanship
The Tahoe Mirror M by Nuance is a sculptural design object where craftsmanship, sustainability and landscape-inspired poetry converge. Like all Nuance mirrors, it is named after a lake — Lake Tahoe, one of the deepest and clearest alpine lakes in the world, located on the border of California and Nevada.
Lake Tahoe is renowned for its clarity, depth and quiet presence. These qualities form the conceptual foundation of the mirror. Its shape is free and organic, as if gently carved by water. The reflection is never rigid or clinical, but soft, layered and alive, subtly transforming light and space.
Nuance is a French design studio producing its mirrors in an artisanal workshop near Porto. Each Tahoe mirror is hand-cut and hand-bevelled, with an intentionally irregular bevel. This variation is essential to the design, ensuring that every piece is unique and reinforcing the impression of a natural, fluid form.
The mirrors are made from eco-responsible French mirror glass, sourced from Normandy. The production process reflects a strong environmental commitment, using 30% recycled glass, water-based coatings, and minimising solvents.
A bevelled mounting hole allows the mirror to be fixed using a hand-hammered screw, resulting in an ultra-flat wall installation with no visible hardware. Once mounted, the Tahoe mirror appears to rest gently against the wall, like a calm pool of water settled into the interior.
The Tahoe Mirror M can stand alone as a sculptural statement or be combined with other Nuance mirrors to create inspiring wall compositions reminiscent of natural landscapes. A timeless design piece for high-end interiors and architectural projects where material integrity, meaning and calm are essential.
