This old Oromo stool originates from Ethiopia and was traditionally used in everyday Oromo life.Stools were not merely functional objects, but often personal belongings, connected to identity, age and social role.
Hand-carved from a single block of wood, the stool features a balanced, understated form focused on durability and use. Years of handling have created a deep, natural patina that enhances its warmth and character.
Today, this stool works beautifully as a low seat, side table or sculptural interior object. It adds authenticity, texture and grounded presence to wabi-sabi, minimalist or ethnically layered spaces. Each piece is one of a kind.
