The Ladies Dress Rasa 68 by Injiri is crafted from a refined blend of 50% cotton and 50% silk. This natural combination creates a beautiful drape, a subtle sheen and exceptional comfort. The dress is finished with traditional bandhani motifs, an ancient Indian tie-dye technique executed entirely by hand.
The rich indigo-blue tone contrasts elegantly with the white detailing, highlighting the artisanal character of the garment. Designed with a loose, comfortable silhouette, long sleeves with soft gathers and a round neckline finished with a short button placket.
Like all Injiri creations, this dress reflects a deep appreciation for textile traditions, handmade processes and thoughtful craftsmanship. An effortless piece for warm-weather dressing, travel or a relaxed bohemian wardrobe.
STORY OF JOURNEYS
Injiri, meaning “real India”, historically stands for “real Madras checkered textiles” which were exported to West Africa back in the 18th century.
Injiri clothing is inspired by traditional garment designs of India. Working from her studio in Jaipur, Chinar Farooqui has developed a network of hand-loom collectives across India, from Gujarat to West Bengal who work with organic cottons and natural dyes to produce a range of exquisite handmade textiles to achieve textures and patterns that tells a story of the place they originate from – the story is finally told in form of a piece of “injiri”.
