Wall niche white earth - paper mache

Marie Michielssen’s successful Earth series, made of that special material, papier mâché, was extended with a number of bowls, vases and pots in off-white and natural brown. An addition to the series is a kind of niche to be attached to the wall. It can display any precious trinket – a statuette, a photograph, a small vase, a holiday souvenir. Marie likes the idea that you can stop daily at the niche, hitting the pause button, as it were, and taking a moment for yourself.

Many of these designs are finished by hand, this may lead to irregularities and is considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece.
