The story
This small stoneware bowl attests to the craftsmanship of Marie Michielssen. The clever use of shapes and the way in which the bowls have been formed are a fine example of design for functional purposes. The bowl has been finished with a Venetian red glaze.
Many of these designs are finished by hand, this may lead to irregularities and is considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece.
