The story
The famous Sao civilization of the Chad region played a major role in the trade between Africa south of the Sahara and the Mediterranean world.
The region was blessed with an abundance of raw material for artistic and craft works. Clay was the major raw material that the Sao used in the manufacture of many goods such as beads.
