These shallow baskets are hand woven in Morocco. The technique of weaving with palm leaves exists for centuries, only the designs have changed. Both men and women have mastered the art of weaving that is passed down from generation to generation. The palm leaves are first harvested, dried, split into two and after interwoven to form long bands which are sewn together.
On the Moroccan countryside, these baskets are used on the field and in the kitchen.
We use them as a fruit basket, as a stylish way to store our things or as a natural tray on our coffee table.
