Cushion made from old sailcloth called 'tanga'. Read the story..
The weathered sailcloth is from Dhows, typical sailing boats of Kenya. Wind, sun, rain, seawater and many years on the Indian Ocean have weathered these tangas to be real pieces of art. Fishermen of Lamu sew these cloths into a bag and paint them with fish, dolphins or turtles.
Needless to say that they are unique and entirely hand-made. They are firm, waterproof and machine-washable at 40°.
