The story

These wooden flasks were used by the Berbers to store make-up. In North Africa and the Middle East kohl (eyeliner) is used a lot. It ensures the eyes do not dry out or irritate. It also tones down the reflection of the sun considerably. But the main asset of the make-up itself is the power of a look. It is all about temptation and to ward off the evil spirits. The flasks are all engraved with small diamond-shaped and triangular patterns. Every single item is an unique piece of beauty, brought from our last trip to Morocco.
